I like Basecamp.
I’ve used it. I’ve recommended it.
As a founder, I admire its simplicity, its calm culture, and the way it just works

As much as Basecamp helped me organise tasks, it never helped me run the business.
That’s why I built CanTicket — not to compete with Basecamp, but to fill the operational gaps that Basecamp (and other tools like it) simply weren’t built to solve.
So here’s my brutally honest, no-buzzwords comparison. One that respects what Basecamp gets right — and also shows where CanTicket steps in for the rest.
Basecamp is a clean, calm workspace for team comms and simple task management.

It’s calm, clean, and uncluttered.

Final Thoughts
I’ll always have a soft spot for Basecamp. It helped us get started.
